Join us

  • What you need…
    • If you’d like to join us, all you really need is enthusiasm! The choir is open to anyone: we welcome people of all ages, gender, ethnicity, faith and musical ability. There are no auditions and you don’t have to be able to read music: we learn the songs by ear. We do sway and clap in some songs, so a bit of a sense of rhythm is helpful, but not essential!

  • What we do…
    • In a typical practice, we warm up our voices with scales and songs, learn the three parts to songs (soprano, alto and tenor) individually and then together, and practice full songs. We have a break half way through the practice when we plan forthcoming gigs and have a chat.

  • So come along and give it a try!
    • If you’re interested in joining us, the best thing to do is just to come and have a go.  We meet every Wednesday from 7.30-9.30pm in John Clifford School, Nether Street, Beeston, Nottinghamshire, NG9 2AT.  See the Contact Us page for a map of the location of the school.  We ask for a voluntary donation of £4 per session.
